Our lil guy is in Kindergarten! We kinda had a rough start though since he caught the chicken pox 3 days before school started......he even had the vaccine! Aren't vaccines supposed to help you NOT get the chicken pox? Anway, he luckily had a really mild case but still had to stay home for the first week. Marshall is gone for 8 weeks doing away rotations for school so my mom came to stay for a couple of weeks which made hangin' out at home a whole lot more exciting......especially since she brought presents! Marshall was so good that week and never once complained about having chicken pox or missing school. Finally, the next week came and he was MORE than ready to go! He was waiting at the door even before it was time to leave. :) When I dropped him off at 8:30 and looked back at him standing there, I got a little teary eyed, but I told him I would see him around 3 o'clock (by the way, when did they change half days to full days for Kindergarten?) Marshall called me later that day and asked me how my first day of school went because he knew it would be harder on me than lil Marsh!:)
Anway, when we went back that afternoon to pick him up he jumped into my arms and said "That was a long time mom....I missed you". I swear my heart just melted right there in the "no crossing zone"! Gotta love these sweet lil' spirits who keep us on our toes! We were so grateful that my Mom was able to come out and spend some time and we can't wait to see her again at Christmas!

He was so excited to go and stand on his box with his classroom # on it!

Can't believe he is 5! There's no turning back now---making lunches, early days, homework, PTA fundraisers....good times. :)

He was so excited to have us all there to pick him up!

Fun with Gram at the Please Touch Museum

I think everything was still a bit overwhelming for her...but give her a few months and she'll be running from thing to thing!
Goodbyes and taking Grammy to the Airport...

Look at this: 5:30 AM and the kids are all smiles! Probably because they knew that there was no way they were going to go to sleep again for me when we got home!:)
