Field Trip to Freddy Hill Farm

So today was Lil Marshall's first field trip with his Preschool class. We left at about 9:30am and it looked like it would rain, but everyone said it would pass and that we would be fine....yeah, not so much! We got there and went on this cute little hay ride and rode to a pumpkin patch. It was SO cold and starting to rain, but every time Marshall looked at me I had to smile and say "Isn't this fun?" We all had blue lips and were getting more wet by the minute. So we picked a couple of pumpkins, heard a pumpkin story and then headed to a corn maze. There was this lady waving an orange flag motioning us to go into the maze so that the kids could go down a slide. All of us moms looked at the slide, then at her, and started to run the other way. First of all, the slide was pretty much a muddy water slide and parents were having to climb up the slide to get their screaming wet kids....good times! It started down pouring and we all picked up our kids and ran in 2ft of water back to our cars.....our pants were soaked and getting heavier as we ran. One little kid's pants fell down as he ran and he couldn't pull them up because they were so wet and heavy (his mom and I were trying to help him and laughing so hard). We passed a mini golf course as we ran and Marshall was crying, but instantly said "Mom, I'm so cold and just want to go golfing!" So pretty much I can't say how "fun" it was, but we laughed a lot and can definitely mark this off as a memorable experience!
